 At Ibeku Youth President's Residence, Abia Speaker Charges Youths to Enthrone Credible Leadership

The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji has charged youths to take advantage of their numerical strength and ensure that only leaders with their interest at heart are given the opportunity to lead them.

The Speaker stated this yesterday during a visit to the President of Ibeku Youth Association, Mr Nwosu Chiedozie Martins at his home in Umuagom Ugba Ibeku.

The Speaker who was accompanied on the visit by the Director-General of his Campaign Council, Pastor Emeka Inyama and a former Commissioner for Utilities in the State, Engr Emma Nwabuko, commended the youths for their outstanding achievements so far especially in the area of direct involvement in agriculture which yielded the yams used for the Iri Ji of Ibeku clan and said it was a sign of an efficient leadership in place. 

He expressed his delight at the steps they have taken so far to assist the youths in various ways, promising that he is always ready to do more for them any time he is called upon.

On his part, the Director-General of the Speaker's campaign council, Pastor Emeka Inyama extolled Mr Nwosu Chiedozie Martins' leadership qualities alongside of that of his exco and said he was most impressed by their agricultural venture, he enjoined then to keep it up.

Responding, the Ibeku Youth President thanked the Speaker and his entourage for visiting him and members of his executive in his home, saying they were honoured and humbled by such rare show of love and humility. He expressed appreciation for the kind words volunteered towards them and said such words will serve as tonic for them to do more. 

The youth leader said they will ensure that they get leadership right at all levels this time around. 

In his vote of thanks, Chairman of Umuagom Ugba Community, Mr Obinna Ebochuo appreciated the Speaker for all his efforts towards lifting the youths. He said the community sincerely appreciate him and look forward to hosting him again.
